The River Bräkneån Water Council, together with Tiken´s Fishing Association and Tingsryd Municipality, organized a river walk on September 2nd. The public was invited, and despite the rain, between 40-50 participants took part.
In River Bräkneån, 3 migration barriers and 5 habitat restorations are planned to be addressed within Tingsryd municipality.
The municipality’s environmental consultants from the Ekologigruppen were present and talked about the planned measures. Eva Åhman, former antiquarian at Smålands Museum, also attended and spoke about the history of Stenfors mill.
The municipality provided coffee and refreshments, and despite the rain, everyone enjoyed a pleasant and much appreciated evening.
