Over three days, more than 30 LIFE projects from 10 countries met in Umeå to exchange experiences and learn from one another. On the first day, we recieved updates from CINEA and our monitors from ELMEN-EEIG. The second day offered the opportunity to apply the Hartijoki method in the field to restore a cleared river channel and observe Freshwater pearl mussels in Kvarnbäcken, visit a rebuilt road culvert in Öreälven and even pet moose calves at Älgens hus in Bjurholm. On the final day, several LIFE projects presented how they work with communication, restoration measures and socio-economic impact in their respective areas. Karin shared insights on successful river restoration within LIFE CONNECTS and Improve Aquatic LIFE.
