Improve Aquatic LIFE has carried out its first School Stream activities for children and young people! Through the School Stream concept, a school class is taken out to a nearby water to learn more about life below the surface, often carrying out a small-scale habitat restoration. <\/strong><\/p>\n

The starting point is life below the surface – what animals can we find in the river, what do they eat? What does the river look like? What conditions are required for the animals to thrive in the stream? And what can we do practically here today to improve things for the stream inhabitants? In connection with the last question, the class might add stones and gravel, plant trees or build artificial reefs from brush wood? It’s all tied together with educational games and fun outdoor education. <\/p>\n

Within Improve Aquatic LIFE, communication and education are key elements.
